Richard Hawthorne

Richard Hawthorne has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Richard is currently working at Excalibur Academies Trust as a Principal since April 2023. Prior to this, they were a Head of School at Excalibur Academies Trust from June 2020 to April 2023. Before joining Maiden Erlegh Trust as a Deputy Headteacher from September 2016 to May 2020, they served as an Assistant Head Teacher at Garth Hill College from January 2011 to August 2016. Richard also worked as an Educational Consultant at Reading Borough Council from September 2004 to December 2010. Richard started their career in the sales and managerial roles, including Sales Executive at JOHN ASHLEY MOTORS LIMITED, Sales Executive at Informer Newspaper, Sales Manager at Empire Publishing, and Retail Manager at Rumbelows.

Richard Hawthorne obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Royal Holloway, University of London, between 1997 and 2000.
