Craig Thingvold, EE, PE, has extensive experience in the electrical engineering field, currently serving as Manager of Process and Facilities Electrical and Manager of Power System Studies at Excel Engineering since January 2007. In this role, Craig performs power system studies, including Arc Flash, Short Circuit, and Coordination studies, along with transmission system studies focusing on dynamic stability, steady state, and voltage stability analyses. Prior to this, Craig was a Volunteer Firefighter for the Spring Lake Park-Blaine-Mounds View Fire Department from October 2008 to June 2015, and worked as a Consulting Engineer at Lightowler Johnson Associates, Inc. in early 2006, and as an Apprentice Electrician at Bergstrom Electric Inc. from May 2004 to December 2005. Craig holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from North Dakota State University and an Associate in Science with a focus in Engineering from North Dakota State College of Science.
