Stephen Monteiro

Stephen Monteiro serves as the FSRU Operations Manager at Excelerate Energy since May 2022, bringing extensive experience in LNG operations and management. Previously, notable roles include LNG/FSRU Commercial Operator and Fleet Performance Analyst at BW Gas AS from 2008 to 2021. Stephen has demonstrated expertise in supervising multinational teams, overseeing cargo handling and safety protocols, and managing vessel maintenance and administration. Early career experiences include various officer positions with Zodiac Maritime Limited, where responsibilities encompassed cargo operations and safety management. Stephen holds a First Mate (Foreign Going) Certificate of Competency from Lal Bahadur Shastri College and a Diploma in Nautical Sciences from Birla Institute of Technology & Science.
