Andrew Alonso

Andrew Alonso is a highly experienced engineer specializing in modeling and simulation systems, currently serving as the Performance Lead Engineer at FTI since September 2025. Prior experience includes leading modeling and simulation teams at Nikola Corporation, where significant contributions were made to controls regression testing and development of advanced simulation tools, as well as enhancing Hardware In the Loop (HIL) and Model In the Loop (MIL) capabilities. Andrew's engineering background also encompasses mechanical design and analysis at Boeing, where hydraulic control systems for commercial aircraft were developed and dynamic models were validated using advanced software tools. Andrew holds both a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University.
