Kirby Sorensen

Kirby Sorensen is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as the Advanced Industrial Engineering Manager at FTI since September 2025, leading new product introduction initiatives in process design and facility layout. As a co-owner of Sorensen Honey Farm LLC since March 2009, Kirby manages hive health, retail marketing, and business operations. Previously, Kirby held several positions at McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing, Inc., including Chief Engineer and Principal Manufacturing Engineer, focusing on innovation and new product introduction. Earlier career roles included a Manufacturing Engineer position at AGCO Corporation and an Industrial Engineer role at Jennie-O Turkey Store, where Kirby achieved significant cost savings through process improvements. Kirby holds a B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering Technology from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
