Earlier roles include Application Architect for ML & DevOps at DB Systel GmbH, contributing to the digitization of Deutsche Bahn's infrastructure, and Scientific Researcher in Bioinformatics & ML at the Max Planck Institute for Informatics. Matthias holds a PhD and a Master's degree in Bioinformatics from Universität des Saarlandes, along with a Bachelor's degree in the same field from the same institution, and briefly studied at The University of Edinburgh.
