Matthias Heiter

Matthias Heiter currently serves as Development Head and Development Team Lead at Excelra, focusing on bioinformatics products and IT operations following the acquisition of BISC Global in April 2023. Previously, Matthias worked as a Full Stack Bioinformatics Consultant at BISC Global, where involvement included internal software development and consulting projects. Earlier roles include Application Architect for ML & DevOps at DB Systel GmbH, contributing to the digitization of Deutsche Bahn's infrastructure, and Scientific Researcher in Bioinformatics & ML at the Max Planck Institute for Informatics. Matthias holds a PhD and a Master's degree in Bioinformatics from Universität des Saarlandes, along with a Bachelor's degree in the same field from the same institution, and briefly studied at The University of Edinburgh.
