Daryl Staveness

Daryl Staveness is currently an Activate Fellow with Activate, which supports scientists and engineers in launching startups aimed at tackling global challenges. As Head of Medicinal Chemistry at N1 Life, Daryl plays a key role in the development of innovative drug delivery technologies. Daryl is also the Founder and CEO of ExciPlex, Inc., where efforts focus on new mycotoxin detection strategies for the animal feed industry. Prior experience includes a postdoctoral researcher position at the University of Michigan, where research centered on advancing photoredox catalysis and the development of novel drug candidates. Daryl holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry from Stanford University and a BS in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
