John Hogan

Community Projects Manager at Excite Credit Union

John Hogan has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. John began their career in 1984 as a Wholesale Manager at Seafirst Mortgage Corporation and later held the position of Executive Vice President / Chief Financial Officer at First Franklin. In 1993, they became the CEO of Princeton Capital, where they managed a large team and oversaw partnerships with real estate companies.

John's dedication to youth empowerment led him to found TeenForce in 2010, a social enterprise addressing the youth employment crisis. John served as the CEO for seven years before merging TeenForce with Silicon Valley Children's Fund. Following the merger, John took on the role of Vice President, Career Services at Pivotal, where they managed employment functions and the accounting/finance team.

In 2014, John co-founded Opportunity Youth Partnership, an initiative focused on re-connecting young people to education and careers. John currently serves as a volunteer on the Executive Committee.

John's commitment to community development continued with their role as Vice President Community Relations at Excite Credit Union, where they promote social justice and financial inclusion by supporting foster youth, providing financial knowledge to the community, and promoting youth savings. John also serves as the Executive Director of Excite Foundation, which primarily focuses on Children's Savings programs and disaster relief support.

John Hogan completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics at the University of California, Berkeley from 1979 to 1983. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration at Santa Clara University from 2008 to 2009.
