Jina Swartz MD, PhD, MScMed(Neuro), MFPM(Dis), FMedSci has a comprehensive and diverse work experience in the field of medical and clinical research.

From 1986 to 1991, Jina Swartz studied Medicine and Surgery at the University of the Witwatersrand, earning an MB BCh degree. Following this, from 1996 to 1999, they pursued a MSc Med (Neuro) degree in Neurology at the same university.

Continuing their academic journey, Jina Swartz attended the University of Cambridge from 1998 to 2001, acquiring a PhD in Medical Genetics.
