Alton Johnson

Alton Johnson has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. From 2022 onwards, they worked as the Vice President of Commercial SM Pharmaceutical Operations at Exelixis. Prior to that, they were a Senior Associate at Lachman Consultant Services from 2019 to 2022. Alton also owned and operated their own consulting business, Alton Johnson Consulting LLC, during the same time period.

Before their consulting roles, Alton held various leadership positions at Pfizer. Alton was the Vice President of Global Technology Services from 2013 to 2019, Vice President of Global Manufacturing Services from 2006 to 2013, and Senior Director of Global Product & Process Development from 2001 to 2006. Alton started at Pfizer as a Director of Product & Process Development in 1995.

Prior to their time at Pfizer, Alton worked at IVAX as a Corporate Director of Technical Services in 1994 and at Hoffmann-La Roche as a Technical Services Manager from February to June 1994.

At the start of their career, Alton was a Senior Research Investigator and Senior Research Scientist at Pfizer's Central Research division from 1990 to 1994. Alton began their career at Pfizer as a Research Scientist in 1987.

Alton Johnson earned a B.S. degree in Pharmacy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 1977 to 1982. Alton then pursued a PhD in Pharmaceutics at Purdue University from 1982 to 1987.
