Ayanna Cooper, PhD has extensive work experience in the medical and pharmaceutical field. Ayanna began their career at GlaxoSmithKline in 2005, where they served as a Senior Clinical Development Scientist in the Oncology department until 2008. Afterward, they joined ImClone Systems, a subsidiary of Eli Lilly and Company, as an Oncology Medical Science Liaison from 2008 to 2012. Ayanna then worked as an Oncology Medical Science Liaison at ARIAD Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from 2012 to 2013. In 2014, they moved to Merck as an Oncology Scientific Director until 2016. Currently, Ayanna holds dual roles at Exelixis, where they started as an Executive Medical Science Liaison in 2016 and later became the Senior Director of Medical Affairs Strategy in 2021.
Ayanna Cooper, PhD has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. Ayanna also holds a PhD in Pharmacology from Yale University.
