Wade Shafer is an energy strategist focused on delivering a secure, affordable, and clean energy future. Currently serving as a Manager of Corporate Strategy at Exelon, Wade has extensive experience as a power market analyst. Wade previously held roles at IHS Markit, where they led research on North America Power & Renewables, and worked as an Associate Director and Senior Research Analyst, analyzing market fundamentals and developing econometric models. Wade started their career as an intern at Manifest Energy, researching solar power markets, and worked as a paralegal at Patton Boggs LLP, ensuring regulatory compliance with the FCC. Wade earned a Master’s Degree in Applied Economics from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from The George Washington University.
