Gilad Lerman

VP R&D at Exero Medical

Gilad Lerman has a diverse work experience, starting with their current position as VP R&D at Exero Medical since December 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Algorithm Engineer at Medtronic from February 2020 to December 2021. In 2019, Gilad was an Entrepreneur at DeepLight for over a year. From 2015 to 2018, they served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at New York University, where they conducted research in neurophotonics and optogenetics. Before that, they held roles as Physics Team Leader and Senior Physicist at Pebbles Interfaces from 2013 to 2015 and as a Laser Physicist at Elbit Systems / ELOP from 2012 to 2013. Gilad also worked as a Teaching Assistant at Hebrew University from 2004 to 2011 and as a Process Engineer at Intel Corporation from 2003 to 2004. Gilad began their career as an Activities and Education Coordinator at a Youth Movement in 2000.

Gilad Lerman has an extensive education history in the field of physics and electrooptics. Gilad completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Physics and Chemistry at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem from 2002 to 2004. Gilad went on to pursue a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Applied Physics - Electrooptics from the same university, which they obtained between 2005 and 2006. Continuing their academic journey, Gilad completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Applied Physics - Electrooptics at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem from 2007 to 2011.

In addition to their formal education, Gilad Lerman obtained a certification in COMPUTER VISION I from OpenCV in February 2021.
