David Erich

Executive Vice President Chief Compliance Officer - Deputy General Counsel at Exeter Finance

David Erich has a strong background in legal and compliance roles. David started their career at Capital One in 1999 as an Attorney in the corporate acquisition and strategic transactions group, where they gained experience in complex domestic and international transactions. David then moved to the auto finance division as a Senior Transactional Attorney and later became the Functional General Counsel, responsible for operational legal issues, compliance, risk governance, policies, and procedures. In 2012, Erich joined Exeter Finance as the Senior Vice President-Deputy General Counsel, overseeing legal support for all lines of business and regulatory compliance. David later became the Executive Vice President and Deputy General Counsel before taking on the role of Executive Vice President Chief Compliance Officer - Deputy General Counsel, leading the compliance function and managing federal and state regulations.

David Erich attended Canterbury School, completing their education there in 1982. David then went on to obtain a Bachelor of Arts degree from The Ohio State University, graduating in 1986. Following this, they pursued a Juris Doctor degree from Capital University Law School, completing their studies in 1989.
