Nikhil Shirodkar

Nikhil Shirodkar has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Nikhil began their career at eClerx Private Limited as a Catalog Analyst, where they created item codes for software and hardware products and was responsible for the development and maintenance of the client website. After this, they worked at CDAC as a Project Engineer, where they focused on research activities related to embedded systems. Nikhil'sresponsibilities included analyzing and improving the performance of the JFFS2 file system.

Following this, Nikhil joined Tata Elxsi Limited as a Tech Lead, where they developed embedded software for AVAYA, specializing in developing H.323/SIP based phones on VxWorks/RTLinux. Nikhil then transitioned to Amazon.com as a Telecom Engineer, where they managed the call-center application developed by Amazon. Nikhil was responsible for monitoring the status of telephony equipment, configuring new circuits, and resolving customer issues.

Most recently, Nikhil has been working at EXFO as a Technical Lead + Scrum Master. In this role, they served as the architect of Mediation software that aggregated and enhanced Call Data records from various telecom equipment. Nikhil also developed simulator software for LTE and 5G equipment testing, working with protocols such as ROHC, CIoT, and HPACK. Additionally, they contributed to the design and development of testing tools for VOIP servers, demonstrating their extensive knowledge of network elements and protocols.

Nikhil Shirodkar obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Telecommunication from K.J. Somaiya College of Engineering in 2003. Nikhil then completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Embedded Systems from CDAC ACTS in 2006. In 2009, they earned a Master of Science degree in Software Systems from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. Prior to their higher education, Nikhil completed their Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) in Science from Sathaye College in 1999 and their Secondary School Certificate (SSC) in General from J. B. Khot High School in 1997. Nikhil also holds additional certifications as a Professional Scrum Master from Scrum.org (obtained in 2019) and CCNA from Cisco (obtained in 2010).
