Jose Angel Camacho

Jose Angel Camacho is a seasoned engineering professional specializing in functional safety, automation, and process safety with extensive experience across various companies in the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as a Senior Functional Safety Engineer at exida, Jose provides consulting services in line with industry standards such as IEC 61511 and IEC 62443. Prior roles include Senior SCAI Consultant at SIS-TECH Solutions LP, and Automation and Functional Safety Advisor at PDVSA, where responsibilities ranged from providing technical support on safety lifecycle activities to supervising engineering teams. Jose founded INTECSIS, C.A., managing engineering projects and sales, and held positions at Honeywell, focusing on sales and training. An alumnus of Universidad Metropolitana and Benedictine College, Jose holds bachelor’s degrees in Electrical Engineering.
