María Teresa Perez Lobatón is Chief Operating Officer of EXILE, a media company dedicated to acquiring and developing premium original content for audiences across the U.S. and Latin America. As chief operating officer since 2018, she is responsible for overseeing the Company’s operations and functionality in order to achieve optimal and sustainable growth.
Prior to joining Exile, Lobatón worked as Director of Digital Operations for Televisa Media Group, where she helped restructure the business unit to maximize audience size and engagement and increase the worldwide digital footprints and revenues of its subsidiaries. Before this, she served as COO for Grupo MYT, a Mexico City-based hospitality group that designs, builds and operates experiences in Mexico and the U.S.
While enrolled in Stanford University’s MBA program, Lobatón, with a particular interest in impact and social change, interned for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. She also worked as a strategic consultant for several years for Deloitte Consulting Group.
Lobatón is an active member of the YaesHora initiative, which started the #metoo movement in Mexico, and the Women in Film and Television Association. She is a CREA Foundation Board Member, where she helps support women from disadvantaged sectors on their entrepreneurial endeavors.
In addition to earning her MBA, Lobatón has bachelor degrees in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the Monterrey Institute of Technology in Mexico and in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Technology in Sydney, Australia.
