Serena Mccalla

Dr. Serena McCalla is the founder of iResearch Corporation, the parent company of iResearch Institute, iResearch Foundation and iResearch Science where she shares her training and research practices with educators and students from around the globe. She is also the Science Research Coordinator for Jericho UFSD in Jericho, NY. Since assuming the position in 2008 Dr. McCalla has engineered Jericho High School’s Science Research curriculum to become one of the preeminent science research programs on Long Island. Her students are continuously recognized as awards recipients for Regeneron Science Talent Search (STS) and the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), and during her tenure, Jericho HS has received more collective research awards than any other school in the world.

Dr. McCalla played a principal role in the National Geographic documentary, Science Fair, which chronicles the importance of science fairs in the high science learning experience, winning the 2018 Sundance Audience Award and a 2019 Emmy among other awards and recognition's.

Dr. Serena McCalla earned a Bachelors Degree, in Biological Sciences from State University of New York at Binghamton University and has a MS degree in Hematology/Microbiology, a PhD that explored the use of diagnostic tests to improve the understanding of genetics, photosynthesis, and respiration in secondary and collegiate courses.
