Bogdan Iulian Popa has a strong background in the banking industry, with experience in various positions and roles spanning over two decades. Starting in 1997, they worked as an Advisor at the Ministry of Public Finance of Romania, specializing in External Public Debt Management and International Capital Markets. In 2001, they transitioned to ABN AMRO Bank N.V. and held the positions of Credit Structuring Manager and later as Branch Manager at the Sibiu branch. In 2004, Bogdan joined Citibank as a Senior Relationship Manager. After three years, they moved to ABN Amro Bank Romania as the Head of Financial Institutions. In 2008, Bogdan joined UniCredit Bank as the Head of Loan Markets & Syndications, where they served for eight years. Since 2016, they have been with EximBank, leading as the Director of the Financial Institutions Department.
Bogdan Iulian Popa received their BA in International Economics and Business from the Academia de Studii Economice din București in 1997. Bogdan Iulian then pursued an MBA in Finance from the Bucharest School of Management & University of Ottawa, completing it in 2007.
