Patzi Joseph

Patzi Joseph has a diverse work experience in the fields of healthcare and education. From 2011 to the present, they have worked at Exodus Recovery Inc, starting as a Program Director and advancing to roles such as Clinical Supervisor, Integrative Care Director, and currently serving as the Vice President of Integrated Services. In this role, they oversee various aspects of outpatient behavioral health programs and supervise a team of middle management and indirect reports. Their focus is on integrating mental health, primary care, substance use treatment, and supportive housing for greater efficiency and access.

In 2020, Patzi Joseph also became involved in the education sector. They served as a Council Member for the Los Angeles Council of Parent Participation Nursery Schools and took on leadership roles at the University Parents Nursery School, including Board Member and the current position of Board President. In these positions, they oversee school operations, make decisions related to COVID-19 precautions, enrollment, human resources, finances, and family satisfaction.

Additionally, Patzi Joseph worked as a Psychotherapist from 2012 to 2014, providing individual, couples, and family therapy in a private practice setting. They specialized in areas such as complex childhood trauma, acculturation issues, mood and personality disorders, self-injurious behaviors, and substance use.

Patzi Joseph earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology and Sociology from Concord University, where they studied from 1999 to 2003. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling from Mount Saint Mary's University between 2004 and 2007. In October 2009, Patzi Joseph obtained their certification as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist from the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
