David Barbe

David Barbe currently serves as the R&D Projects Director at Exotec since December 2021. Prior to this, David managed the Electrification & E-Mobility Department at AVL from October 2015 to November 2021, overseeing a team of 45 in areas such as software development, system engineering, and autonomous driving systems. David's extensive experience includes roles at IAV GmbH, where management of powertrain systems and complex electric and hybrid projects was key, and at Ford Motor Company, focusing on powertrain control and algorithm optimization. David's career began as a System Control Engineer at PSA Peugeot Citroën, concentrating on diesel aftertreatment strategies. David holds a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from ENSPS Ecole Nationale de Physique de Strasbourg and a Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma from CentraleSupélec.
