Julien Vaudolon has worked in the space propulsion industry since 2012. From 2012 to 2015, they were a PhD Candidate at CNES, where they developed and optimized Hall Thrusters for Satcoms and exploration probes. During this time, they also used five different Hall Thrusters in various test facilities. From 2015 to 2019, they worked at Safran as the Electric Thrusters Design Authority and Hall Thrusters Design Authority. In this role, they were responsible for developing technology roadmaps and supervising development activities for Safran electric space propulsion systems. In 2019, they joined Exotrail as the Propulsion Operations Team Leader, Project Manager, and Thruster Head Module Owner. In this role, they managed propulsion operations from R&D projects to In-Orbit Demonstration and Commercial Missions, and they were also the head of the project management team.

Julien Vaudolon obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Plasma Physics from the Universit\u00e9 d'Orl\u00e9ans in 2015. From 2009 to 2012, they attended the Ecole Nationale Sup\u00e9rieure de M\u00e9canique et d'A\u00e9rotechnique, where they earned their Dipl\u00f4me d'ing\u00e9nieur in Ing\u00e9nierie a\u00e9rospatiale, a\u00e9ronautique et astronautique. Prior to that, they attended Lyc\u00e9e Blaise Pascal. No additional certifications have been listed.
