Jared Baisden is a Senior Scientist in Structural Biology at Expansion Therapeutics since April 2022, specializing in NMR spectroscopy for characterizing compounds and ligand-RNA interactions, as well as structure-based drug design. Previously, Jared served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Scripps Research from June 2020 to April 2022, focusing on the characterization of compound-RNA interactions and developing biophysical methods under the guidance of Professor Matthew Disney, PhD. Jared's academic background includes a PhD in Biochemistry, Biophysics, and Molecular Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where research centered on RNA dynamics using NMR. Earlier studies at Ashland University led to a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Biochemistry, with additional experience as a tutor and research assistant.
