Rose James serves as the Global Senior Director of Intellectual Property at Expedia Group, focusing on the protection and defense of intellectual property rights worldwide. Prior experience includes the role of Intellectual Property and Technology Transactions Counsel at Cummins Inc., where Rose led counsel for Cummins Electronics and Fuel System. As Chief Intellectual Property Counsel at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, Rose established an IP legal practice and coordinated IP policies within the Department of Homeland Security. Previous positions at the DHS included Supervisory Attorney Advisor and Attorney Advisor, where Rose developed new legal practices related to intellectual property. Additionally, Rose held attorney positions at Verizon, George Washington University, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, and Hogan Lovells. Rose holds a Juris Doctor and an LL.M. in Trade Regulation with a concentration in Intellectual Property from New York University School of Law, along with a degree from The George Washington University.
