Ajay Sharma

Ajay Sharma has a diverse and impressive work experience spanning over two decades. Ajay is currently serving as the Director and Senior Vice President of India Operations at Experience.com since November 2021. Prior to that, from 2018 to 2021, they worked as a Business Consultant in a self-employed capacity, where they assisted a San Francisco based multinational CRM software company in expanding business in EMEA and APAC regions, and developed growth strategies for a Fintech startup company.

From 2016 to 2018, Ajay was the Director and Senior Vice President of India and APAC at WorkFusion, a leading software product company specializing in automation. Ajay also held the position of Director & Global Head at Markit from 2014 to 2016.

Before these roles, Ajay worked at J.P. Morgan as an Executive Director from 2012 to 2013, where they drove change and designed a new operating model in the investment banking industry. Ajay managed multiple verticals and led various financial operations.

Prior to that, they served as the Vice President of the Business Solutions Group at Birla Sunlife Insurance Company Limited from 2008 to 2012, where they led the transition of multiple processes and created and managed multiple verticals in departments such as new business, underwriting, policy servicing, and claims.

From 2006 to 2008, Ajay worked at HDFC Standard Life Insurance Company Limited as the Head of Process, Projects, and Quality, where they led process standardization and managed system enhancements. Ajay also served as the Zone Head for the East region, overseeing operations and handling profit and loss responsibilities.

Before these roles, Ajay worked at Tata AIG Life Insurance as the Best Practices Officer in the India region in 2005 and as the Zone Head for North India from 2003 to 2004. Ajay also held the position of Managing Partner at Max New York Life Insurance from 2000 to 2003, and they started their career at ANZ Grindlays Bank as the Manager of Liabilities Sales in North India in 2000.

Ajay Sharma completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Anna University, where they attended from 1987 to 1991. Following this, they pursued their MBA specializing in Marketing & Systems from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, from 1992 to 1994.
