Kelsey Helstowski has extensive experience in the hospitality and sales industry. Kelsey started their career as a Lodge Assistant Manager at the Muskegon Winter Sports Complex in 2005. In 2008, they worked as a Food and Beverage Intern at The Inn at Bay Harbor, followed by an Administrative Assistant role at Central Michigan University Dept. of Marketing and Hospitality. Kelsey then became a Management Intern at The Country Club of Peoria in 2009. In 2010, they worked as a Sales Manager at 309 Restaurant. From 2011 to 2017, they had various roles at White Lodging Services - Louisville Marriott Downtown, including Catering Sales Manager, Executive Meeting Manager, and Senior Sales Manager. Since 2017, they have been employed at Experience Grand Rapids, starting as a National Sales Manager and working their way up to Associate Director of Sales and is currently serving as the Director of Sales.
Kelsey Helstowski completed their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Hospitality Services Administration at Central Michigan University from 2007 to 2010. Prior to that, they attended Grand Valley State University in 2006 and did not pursue a specific degree or field of study at that time. Kelsey also holds a certification as a Certified Tourism Ambassador (CTA), although the institution and exact date of obtaining this certification is not provided.

We are the only community resource devoted to marketing the destination by raising visitor awareness of the region’s brand characteristics of craft beer, music, family fun, outdoor recreation, art and culture and food. We care deeply about the impression we make on the people who come here. And we are constantly innovating new and creative ways to make the Grand Rapids experience even better.
