Chris Disher has over 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Chris began their career in 1995 as an Aftermarket Engineering and Quality Manager at GE Oil & Gas. In this role, they led an engineering team to support customers with repair methods of deepwater drilling equipment, and was the main leader in developing procedures and training a one hundred person repair facility to become ISO 9001 certified. In 2003, they became the Aftermarket Technical Leader at GE Oil & Gas, where they worked closely with customers to meet their operational needs in repairing equipment, and trained local engineering groups in methods of equipment repair and procedures. In 2005, they were promoted to Asia Aftermarket Engineering and Operations Leader at GE Oil & Gas, where they trained engineering teams on global repair methods and procedures, and worked closely with customers to ensure repair of equipment was conducted properly while also having met operational needs in cost effective manner. In 2012, they took on an Interim Manager role at GE Oil & Gas. In 2011, they were appointed Global Product Manager at General Electric, where they developed and led a global drilling riser inspection and repair program with global continuity and regional considerations. This program supported customers in fifteen countries with local program managers and teams, and led to a 350% increase in riser joints serviced and revenue in 3 years. In 2016, they became Manager of Business Development at Expert Riser Solutions LLC, and Manager of Technology & Business Development at ExPert E&P Consultants, LLC. Chris is currently the Managing Director at Cajun Broadband Inc.
Chris Disher obtained their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana State University between 1988 and 1994. In 2001, they earned a Six Sigma Green Belt Certification. Chris is also a Professional Engineer, certified by the Louisiana Professional Engineering and Land Surveying Board (LAPELS).
