Rob Gallegos MD, PhD, FACS, FACC is a distinguished cardiac surgeon and medical consultant currently serving as Chief of Cardiac Surgery at Creighton University School of Medicine since October 2023. With extensive experience in the field, Rob has held various roles, including Expert Legal Consultant at ExpertConnect Litigation Support, LLC, and Medical Consultant at CORCYM. Prior to their current position, Rob was a cardiac surgeon at The Iowa Clinic and served as a consultant/proctor at LivaNova. Rob's prior appointments include Cardiothoracic Surgeon at Presbyterian Healthcare Services and Surgical Director of the Mechanical Assist Program at The Christ Hospital Health Network. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Medicine from UC San Diego, along with a Doctor of Philosophy in Experimental Surgery/Tissue Engineering from the University of Minnesota, among other advanced training and fellowships.
