Boris Quimper

Boris Quimper has a diverse work experience in various industries, particularly mining and construction. Boris started their career in 2003 as a Project Procurement & Contracts Manager at Phelps Dodge, where they led supply chain and contract activities. Boris then worked at Freeport McMoran Copper & Gold, INC as a Commodity Manager, negotiating contracts and standardizing services contracts in South America. Boris also worked at Anglo American Chile as a Procurement & Contract Manager, responsible for procurement, logistics, and contracts for mining projects. In 2008, they joined Komatsu Mitsui Maquinarias Peru as the Mining Business Unit Manager, overseeing sales management and service contracts. Boris later became the General Manager at SSK Ingeniería y Construcción SAC, where they led a team of 7 direct reports and implemented a growth strategy that doubled the company's sales. Boris then served as the General Manager at Cummins Perú, leading the company's establishment and achieving significant growth in profits and sales. Boris also held positions as Vice President at Komatsu-Mitsui Maquinarias Peru S.A., and as the Founder & Co-Owner of LETMAN SAC, a company focused on high-value products for the mining and construction industry. Currently, Boris is the Chief Operating Officer at Explomin Perforaciones, where they oversee operations and serves as the General Manager for Peru.

Boris Quimper obtained their Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad de Lima in the years 1988 to 1993. Boris then went on to pursue a PADE Certificate in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from Universidad ESAN from 1995 to 1996. Later, Boris furthered their education by completing an MBA in General Management from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business between 2001 and 2003.
