Michelle Urbanczyk has a wealth of experience in the nonprofit sector. Michelle began their career in 2003 at the SUNY Research Foundation as an Administrator Officer, where they were responsible for overseeing compliance of various projects and grants. In 2011, they joined the Buffalo Society of Natural Sciences/Buffalo Museum of Science as a Grants and Sponsorship Manager and later as Director of Development. In this role, they developed external correspondence and documents, performed prospect research, and was responsible for preparing, submitting, and managing grant proposals. In 2015, they became President of EPIC-Every Person Influences Children, a Buffalo-based nonprofit organization that provides year-round programming in parenting education and family engagement. Most recently, in 2018, they were appointed Chief Executive Officer of Explore & More - The Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Children's Museum.

Michelle Urbanczyk holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the State University of New York College at Oswego.

Explore & More - The Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Children's Museum

In June 2019, the brand new Explore & More - The Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Children’s Museum opened its doors to the Western New York Community. This $29 million capital project was a 7-year undertaking, which allowed Explore & More to grow from a 5,000 square-foot building located in East Aurora with about 60,000 visitors a year to a 43,000 square-foot state-of-the-art facility in downtown Buffalo with an estimate of 200,000+ guests per year.
