Darren Ison has extensive experience in the field of Information Technology. Darren started their career as a Systems Engineer at Datamax Office Systems in 1998, where they were responsible for serving 10 local customer accounts and managing Microsoft and Linux-based systems. Darren then moved on to AG Edwards in 2000, where they held the role of Senior Systems Engineer and later became the Senior Technology Engineer. During their time at AG Edwards, they managed various event and performance products, including HP Openview and BMC Patrol. In 2007, Darren joined Charter Communications as a Principal Technologist, where they supported Windows and virtualization platforms and was responsible for architecting solutions for Configuration Management and Event Management. Darren continued their career at Monsanto as a Senior Systems Administrator in 2009 before joining Lumeris as a Senior Systems Engineer in 2010. At Lumeris, they built and managed web infrastructure and applications. Darren then worked at Voya Financial as an IT Manager, where they led the Enterprise Automation group and was responsible for design, implementation, and support of Enterprise Automation Products and services. Currently, they are the Director of Information Technology at the St. Louis Convention & Visitors Commission, a role they have held since 2016.
Darren Ison obtained an Associate degree in Computer Technology and Electronics Engineering from CDI (Career Development Institute) between 1991 and 1992.
