Kaniz Fatema Asad is an experienced technology operations professional currently serving as the Technology Operations Manager at Expo 2020 Dubai since February 2020, where responsibilities include leading technology operations for a major segment of the event. Prior to this role, Kaniz was a Senior Technical Consultant at the United Nations from August 2018 to January 2020, focusing on program management, GIS data analysis, and global hunger data mapping for the WFP Hunger Map. Kaniz's experience also includes five years as a Senior Network Engineer at AT&T, leading regional product launches and project management for network optimization. Earlier career roles involve network engineering and planning at AT&T Mobile Tel and Motorola Mobility, as well as system engineering at Siemens. Kaniz holds a Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Engineering from Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology.
