Dan Kaplowitz, Ph.D., P.E., CWI has a strong background in engineering and research. Dan is currently a Senior Managing Engineer at Exponent, where they have held multiple roles since joining in 2017, including Managing Engineer and Senior Engineer. Prior to their time at Exponent, they worked as a Materials Postdoctoral Researcher at the U.S. Army Research Laboratory from 2013 to 2016. In this role, they managed laboratory programs for cold spray dimensional repair and additive manufacturing testing. Before that, they were a Graduate Researcher at the University of Maryland Zachariah Laboratory from 2008 to 2013, where they conducted research on functionally coated aluminum nanocrystals and developed aluminum nanopowder products. Dan also served as a Teaching Assistant during this time. Dan also has experience as a Research Assistant at Lehigh University in 2007, where they focused on rheometry and simulated mixing testing of oil and surfactant polymers. Dan began their engineering career as a Chemical Synthesis Engineering Intern at Roche from 2005 to 2007.
Dan Kaplowitz, Ph.D., P.E., CWI completed their education in the field of Chemical Engineering. Dan obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from Lehigh University, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. Following this, they pursued further studies at the University of Maryland, where they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Chemical Engineering from 2007 to 2013.
