Dayang (Cindy) Wang, Ph.D., is an Environmental Engineering major at MIT and an Environmental Scientist at Exponent. With expertise in fluid mechanics, they focus on solving complex environmental issues related to contaminant fate and transport through both laboratory and field experiments, as well as modeling. They have worked on projects addressing deep-sea oil spills, mining, and environmental assessments for global shipping discharges. Previously, they served as a Research and Development Officer analyzing water infrastructure, and as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at MIT, where they built contaminant mixing models for international environmental policy.
