Dimitrios Athanasiou, Ph.D., EIT, is a seasoned professional in civil and environmental engineering, currently serving as a Manager at Exponent, where tenure began in August 2019. Prior roles at Exponent include Senior Associate and Associate. As a Board Member for the Northwest Association of Environmental Professionals since July 2023 and a former Co-Chair for the ASCE - EWRI Seattle Chapter from September 2021 to August 2023, Dimitrios has demonstrated leadership in the field. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. and Master's degrees in Civil/Environmental Engineering from Texas Tech University, along with a Master's in Environmental Engineering from the University of New Haven and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Patras.
