Al Pritchard

Al Pritchard is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in global business development and trade, currently serving as the Director of Global Business Connections at Export Development Canada since January 2017. In this role, Al is part of the leadership team focusing on enhancing international business opportunities for Canadian companies. Prior to this, Al held various positions within EDC, including Global Trade Director and Business Development Senior Associate in the mining sector, emphasizing trade promotion for Canadian mining suppliers. Previous experience includes managing field operations as Operations Manager at Sander Geophysics, coupled with roles such as Assistant Processing Manager and Field Project Manager, where Al led multiple teams across six continents. Al's career began as a Geophysicist at Sander Geophysics after transitioning from a structural engineering role at Dietrich Design Group. Al holds an M.B.A. from the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa and a BSc in Mathematics and Engineering from Queen's University.
