Philip Flesher has worked in the software engineering industry since 2004. Philip began their career at Online Alchemy as a Software Engineer, where they built AI systems, core game servers, and front-end game client for an unannounced MMOG title. Philip was then awarded funding by DARPA to build immersive training simulators based on AI technology. In 2005, they moved to NCsoft as a Software Engineer, engineering numerous backend servers to power MMOG titles across NCsoft's North American and Korean game portfolios. In 2008, they joined Trion World Network as a Senior Software Engineer and Senior Systems Integrator, building backend logging and analytics systems to power Trion Worlds' first MMOG title, RIFT. In 2010, they moved to UTV Ignition Entertainment as a Lead Server Engineer and then to Trion Worlds as Lead Software Engineer and Manager, leading the Systems Integration team to tie game services to backend infrastructure pieces. Philip then moved to Embrace as CTO and Co-Founder, taking the company from concept to first paying customer, with three additional beta customers on board. In 2013, they joined Joust as Head of Engineering, jump-starting stalled development of Joust's social competition web application. Finally, in 2014, they founded and became President of Exstratus, the global leader in cloud financial management. Philip'sclients include multi-national Fortune 500's and tech start-ups raising their second or third rounds. Through their work, they have saved their clients millions of dollars while bringing them into the FinOps age.
Philip Flesher completed a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin in 2004, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Honors, Management from the Texas McCombs School of Business in 2004.
