Thomas Deasy has held various roles throughout their career. Thomas began in 1998 as an Educational Therapist at Sutter Health's Kahi Mohala Behavioral Health. From 1999 to 2004, they worked as an Instructor at Heald College, teaching classes in Healthcare, Business, Legal, and Technology. In 2001, they became a Teacher at the Hawaii State Department of Education's Waialua High and Intermediate School, where they taught English, Psychology, Sociology, and oversaw the yearbook publication. From 2005 to 2008, they served as an Instructional Systems Design/Six Sigma Black Belt at Percepta, a global contact services company. Thomas then joined Rockwell Collins as a Principal Operations Manager, leading integrated product teams in aerospace and defense solutions until 2014. Thomas worked as a Licensed Insurance Agent at HealthMarkets from 2014 to 2015. Finally, they joined Extant Aerospace in 2015, initially as the Director of Engineering and Operational Excellence, then the Director of Business Management, and later became the Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Thomas Deasy has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from Flagler College, which they obtained from 1991 to 1995. Thomas then pursued a Master's Certification in Lean Six Sigma from Villanova University, completing it from 2005 to 2007. Following that, they attended the Breakthrough Management Group (BMGI) from 2011 to 2013, where they participated in the Master Black Belt Development Program in Lean Six Sigma. In terms of additional certifications, in 2007 they obtained a Six Sigma Black Belt certification from Aveta Business Institute, and in the same year, they also obtained a Lean Sensei certification from Villanova University. In 2012, they earned a Master Black Belt certification from BMGI/Rockwell Collins. Additionally, in 2014, they obtained a certification in "0215 - Life Including Variable Annuity and Health" from the Florida Department of Financial Services.
