Mahendra Samarya

Mahendra Samarya is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in networking and security solutions. Currently, as a Senior Principal Software Engineer at Extreme Networks since March 2023, Mahendra continues to leverage expertise developed during previous roles, including a Technical Leader position at Cisco, where contributions focused on Zero-Trust Security solutions for SDWAN. Earlier experiences include defining management orchestration architecture at Dell Networking and leading development for cloud security solutions at Cisco Systems. Mahendra's career began with a project at AdoreSoft, enhancing retail application integrations, and includes experience as a Teaching Assistant at Purdue University, where responsibilities involved instructing undergraduate students in Java Programming. Mahendra holds a Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Purdue University.
