Brian Smekal

Brian Smekal has extensive experience in the regulatory affairs and compliance field. Brian is currently the Executive Vice President at Extremity Medical, where they have held various leadership roles since 2012. Prior to that, they worked as the Regulatory Affairs Manager at LifeCell Corporation and as a Sr. Regulatory Affairs Specialist at Zimmer Spine. Brian also worked at Lifecore Biomedical, where they were responsible for developing global regulatory strategies and preparing regulatory submissions for dental implantable devices and bone graft substitutes. Before that, they were a Pre-Clinical Research Associate at ETEX Corporation.

Brian Smekal earned a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Applied Anatomy and Physiology from Boston University between 2000 and 2002. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Exercise Physiology at West Virginia University from 1996 to 2000. In addition to their formal education, Brian obtained the RAC (US) certification from RAPS in December 2008.
