Kgabi Masia

Kgabi Masia is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the minerals and energy sectors. As the Managing Director of Minerals at Exxaro Resources since March 2022, Kgabi Masia leads strategic operations within the company. Previously, Kgabi Masia served as the President of South African Energy Coal at South32 from May 2018 to June 2021, and held various senior positions including Vice President of Commercial and Vice President of Operations within South32, overseeing key operations in coal and minerals. Prior experience at BHP Billiton includes roles as Head of Integrated Operations and General Manager of Processing, focusing on supply chain optimization and production efficiency. Kgabi Masia holds a Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Johannesburg and has completed multiple Advanced Management Programs at INSEAD.
