Mechanical Integrity Principal Engineer - Baytown And GCGV at ExxonMobil

Jerard Smith has over two decades of experience at ExxonMobil, currently serving as Engineering Manager for the Baytown Chemical Expansion Project (BCEP), overseeing field construction activities. Smith previously held roles as Fixed Equipment Engineer and Lead Static Equipment Mechanical Engineer for BCEP, and also contributed as a Turnaround Engineer for the Fluid Catalytic Cracking Units. Prior to this experience, Smith worked as a Reliability Superintendent at Millennium Chemicals, overseeing the implementation of a mechanical integrity program. Earlier in the career at ExxonMobil, Smith served as Mechanical Reliability Section Supervisor and Mechanical Contact Engineer. Academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, both from Auburn University, along with an initial engineering education at Freed-Hardeman University.
