James Newnham

James Newnham is an International and Transaction Tax Partner at EY, based in Bahrain, with over 27 years of experience in tax law. Having begun their career as a Senior Analyst at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu from 1998 to 2002, James later held senior roles at Minter Ellison, BDO, and DLA Piper, focusing on M&A transactions and tax advisory. Since 2023, they have contributed to EY by assisting businesses with tax-related aspects of advisory and transactions. James holds a BA/LLB in Arts and Law from Monash University, which they completed in 1997.
