Richard Stern

Richard Stern is a seasoned tax specialist who currently serves as the Director of the Global Tax Policy Center at the Institute for Austrian and International Tax Law at WU and as a Global Lead in Tax Policy for Government Services at EY. With 20 years of practical experience and 30 years as a lecturer in tax and development and economics, Richard has designed and supported tax reform initiatives in over 60 countries. Richard has previously held roles at the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group, contributing significantly to international tax discussions. Richard holds a PhD in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master's degree in International Relations from Georgetown University.
