Juan I. Betanzo

Juan I. Betanzo has a diverse work experience in the finance and corporate development field. Juan I. is currently serving as the Vice President of Finance Strategy and Planning at EyePoint Pharmaceuticals since 2024. Previously, from 2019 to 2023, they worked at Celsius Therapeutics, where they held the positions of Vice President of Finance and Senior Director of Finance. Juan I. also worked at Enzyvant as the Senior Director of Finance and Corporate Development, and later as the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis from 2018 to 2019. Prior to that, they served as the Director of R&D Finance and Director of Financial Planning & Analysis at Travere Therapeutics from 2014 to 2018. Before joining Travere Therapeutics, they worked at AVEO Oncology as a Senior Manager and Manager of Clinical Planning from 2012 to 2014. Juan I. began their career at Monsanto as a Business Analyst and later as a Senior Business Analyst from 2005 to 2010. Juan I. also gained experience as a Finance and Business Development Summer Associate at STC Biologics Inc and as an Operations Intern at Toyota.

Juan I. Betanzo attended Babson F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business from 2010 to 2012, where they completed the Full-Time MBA Program. In 2013, they pursued Biomedical Product Development at Harvard University. Juan I. obtained a B.S. in Business Administration with a minor in Finance from Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico City.
