Jakub Ruzicka

Jakub Ruzicka has a diverse work experience that spans multiple industries and roles. Jakub currently serves as the VP of Engineering at eyos.one, where they lead a global tech team and builds a data-driven growth platform for retailers, merchants, brands, and shoppers worldwide. Prior to this, they worked as an Advisor to the CTO at Deepnote and as a Visiting Professor at FIT CTU in Prague.

Jakub has also served as a Mentor at Femme Palette and worked as a self-employed Consultant, Developer, and Analyst at Self-employed (OSVC), Technologies Ltd. In addition, they have held roles as an Advisor at Zip Co and Twisto, where they also served as the Head of Engineering and a Researcher focused on integration of machine learning-based fintech risk engines.

Earlier in their career, Jakub worked as a Technical Advisor and Chief Technology Officer at Creative Dock, where they also held roles as a Software Engineer and Cybersecurity Consultant. Jakub also served as the Chief Technology Officer at VETRI, where they designed and launched a decentralized blockchain-based ecosystem.

Before joining Creative Dock and VETRI, Jakub worked as an Ethical Hacker and Security Consultant at Deloitte Czech Republic. Throughout their career, they have gained expertise in various programming languages and technologies, including Python, C#, .NET, Node.js, React, Scala, JavaScript, TypeScript, React Native, and Node.

Jakub Ruzicka completed their Master's degree in Applied research and its methodology from Charles University between 2009 and 2015. In 2011, they attended Trinity College Dublin, although it is not specified if they obtained a degree or field of study. From 2012 to 2027, they engaged in self-directed learning, focusing on various subjects including programming, computer science, computer security, data science, economics, and marketing. During 2013 and 2014, Jakub studied Marketing Communication at the University of Finance and Administration, Prague. Prior to their university education, they completed their high school-leaving examination, specializing in information and communications technology (ICT), from Gymnázium U Libeňského zámku in 2009. Additionally, Jakub obtained a Teacher's Certificate, Retraining Course from ACZ (The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport accreditation) in February 2013, a Certificate in Advanced English from the University of Cambridge in November 2012, and certifications as a Flowmon Solution Consultant and Flowmon Technical Specialist from Flowmon Networks in 2017. It is not mentioned if Jakub obtained any degree from ZŠ Hostýnská, although their field of study was also in information and communications technology (ICT).
