Rachel Kuperman's work experience began in 2008 when they joined UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland as the Medical Director. During their tenure, they focused on developing the epilepsy program, emphasizing excellent clinical care and research. In 2018, Rachel transitioned to become the CEO of Eysz, a company they founded. Eysz aims to assist parents, caregivers, and physicians in quantifying the burdens of epilepsy, including seizures, side effects, and cognitive effects.

Rachel Kuperman obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Physics from UC San Diego between 1993 and 1997. Following that, they pursued their medical education at the University of California, San Francisco - School of Medicine, earning their Medical Doctor (MD) degree between 1997 and 2002.

Eysz

EYSZ is a detection software algorithm that uses oculometric data to reliably detect a seizure. By employing machine learning capabilities, their software will also be able to predict when a seizure will occur. They expect their software to easily interface and/or integrate with other eye-tracking systems (eg. smart glasses) and therapeuticdevices (eg. neuromodulation).It was founded in 2018 and is based in Piedmont, California.
