David Jamison, CPA Esq.

David Jamison, CPA Esq. has extensive experience in the accounting industry. David began their career in 1994 as a Bookkeeper at CSTEA, where they recorded expenses and budget transactions for an annual of $1.2 million of federal appropriations. In 1997, they moved to Price Waterhouse as an Auditor, performing internal control testing for current assets and liabilities to determine if reliance could be placed on such controls. In 2003, they became an Audit Consultant at Williams, Adley & Company-DC, LLP, where they identified, analyzed and corrected problems in accounting transactions and practices for clients. In 2005, they joined Clifton Gunderson LLP as an Auditor, supervising a team of 5 auditors to perform AR, AP, PPE and payroll audits. In 2007, they became the Owner of JD1 & Associates, where they performed Financial Statement audits on financial institutions that lend funding for small businesses. From 2012 to 2015, they worked as a Senior Auditor at Barry Glasser & Company and SingerLewak LLP. In 2015, they also began working as a Financial Statement Consultant at Vaco, drafting Financial Statements and footnote disclosures for Audited Statements. Since 2017, they have been the Manager of Accounting at EZ Texting, where they have managed monthly close, made process improvements that lead to a decrease in monthly closing time from 10 days to 7 days, and prepared Monthly Financial Statements for executive staff. David has also been the Audit liaison for yearend audits by PWC.

David Jamison, CPA Esq. received their Juris Doctor from Howard University School of Law in 2001 with a focus in Business Law. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration from Howard University School of Business in 1997 with a focus in Accounting. In addition, they are a Certified Public Accountant CPA, certified by the AICPA, and a member of the Bar Association of the District of Columbia.
