Karen Barnett serves as the Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Studies at the College of Nursing, University of Massachusetts Dartmouth since July 2017. With a strong background in nursing education, Karen Barnett has coauthored the 3rd edition of "Fundamentals of Nursing Theory, Concepts and Applications" for F.A. Davis Company from 2013. Previous roles include Nursing Supervisor at Milford Hospital from 1997 to 2015, Associate Professor at Southern Connecticut State University from 2007 to 2013, and Assistant Professor at Norwalk Community College from 2004 to 2007. Karen Barnett earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Nursing Education from Case Western Reserve University (2007-2010) and a Master’s in Nursing Administration from Sacred Heart University (1992-1995).
