Gene Axton

Gene Axton is the Administrative & Marketing Assistant at F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts. Prior to that, they were a freelance journalist and photographer, contributing to northeastern Pennsylvania regional publications including Dallas Post, Pittston Sunday Dispatch, Wilkes-Barre Times Leader and Weekender. Gene has also worked as a reporter for Pittston Sunday Dispatch and Wilkes-Barre Times Leader, where they wrote articles, designed pages and handled community news. In 2015, they were a Special Investigations Report Writer for Becker and Company.
